And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the Lord which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
Genesis 32:9-10 KJV
In this era of profit-making and sometimes profiteering, it sounds gratifying when one invests and the investment yields great returns.
However how do we explain situations when we see great returns in circumstances that are unattributable to our efforts.
Jacob after receiving Blessings from his father went away with the Blessings and left all earthly goods behind but firmly held on to his staff. The staff probably guided him and comforted him into the unknown.
Yet the Blessings made Jacob so rich that, he knew there was a stronger hand that had brought it about.
He exclaimed that he was not deserving of all the mercies that God has shown unto him.
– May your blessings appear so speedily and far bigger than what eyes have seen or ears have heard nor ever entered into the the hearts of men.
– May you lack words to explain the extent of God’s Blessings in your own life.
– As we gradually inch into the last months of this year, receive an acceleration of God’s blessings so that you can proclaim by 31st December, 2018, that…
“I came into 2018 with just … but now…. look at me, I am not worthy of all these kindness that God has shown to me”.
Oh Lord! All my Days and years are insured in your name. Do with my life what no man can do and bless me to the point where those who hear of it can’t believe it is true. In Jesus’ Name I pray!
